LOSE YOUR WEIGHT

It doesn't look very pretty when you look very fat. Overweight not only causes health problems but also harms your beauty. Take your weight loss slowly and you will be able to keep your body slim. Be sure to treat yourself because you want look beautiful on all occassions. You can only be happy when you are not too fat for looks.

If you want to lose weight, it will take a minimum of three weeks. Don't do anything drastic ie., not to do any thing that is completely different from your daily routine.

Drink only water -- no teas, coffees, Coca Cola, juices, etc. Water has zero calories and will help you body flush out the excess fat as you lose weight. I am not familiar with Zera water, but if it has zero calories, go on drinking it. Eat the same foods you always eat, but eat only 1/2 as much as you usually eat. I have found that you will not lose weight by making a big change to your diet. By eating the same food but only 1/2 as much, you will be able to enjoy your usual diet but you will reduce the amount of calories you ingest. You must eat to give your body fuel to keep it working, so fasting is NOT the way to lose weight. In fact, when you fast, your body over-reacts to the food deprivation and will change your chemistry so that it will hold on to your fat for protection. If you are too hungry when you cut your food by half, try eating 2/3 of your usual portions. YOU MUST EAT TO STAY HEALTHY.To tone your thighs, take long, brisk walks. Your pace should be faster than normal but not as fast as running. You want to get your heart pumping a little faster than normal but you do not want to put too much stress on your heart. You should walk for about 45 minutes to an hour a day, and if you can find a few gentle hills, your walk will be additionally slimming. Going up and down hills is a great way to tone your legs.

To tone your tummy, try this twice a day:

* While sitting in an upright position on your chair, tighten your abdominal muscles and breathe in.

* Hold this position for 10 seconds.

* Breathe out and release the abdominal muscles.

* Repeat this exercise 30 times.

Finding help is not as easy as it sounds. Enter the local bookstore, and you will be surprised at the plethora of books trying to tell you how to lose weight. Yet the sheer quantity of these books that are available makes it hard to pick one that will work for you. Additionally, the news and daytime television are filled with tips and tricks on how to lose weight fast, yet you know that some of these may not be as healthy as you would like to be while you are going after your weight loss. Quite possibly the worst place to turn for help is your e-mail’s inbox which is probably filled each morning with numerous SPAM messages touting pills that guarantee a fast weight loss. Magazines at the checkout stand also offer their advice, yet their best way to lose weight oftentimes involve the latest fad diets, which may cause temporary weight loss, but in the long run are impossible to keep up with.

Yoga and your health

Yoga is form of meditation and exercise which helps us to improve breathing, stress management and maintain health. Yoga is based on the idea that mimd and body are one. Practioners of yoga believe that yoga improves health by improving how you see the world which calms the spirit and decreases stress. The main components of Yoga are proper breathing and exercises called postures which stresses our body. While practising Yoga you may feel that you are relaxed and set your muscles free.
Most people who try yoga for meditation find that it increases their flexibility and reduces stress. If you suffer from a long-term medical condition, you can combine yoga and conventional medical treatment. Several studies have shown that yoga helps lower blood pressure, improves a person's sense of well-being, and can help people who have asthma learn to breathe more easily. A recent study determined that a 6-month yoga program improved fatigue in people with multiple sclerosis.
Pranyama and yoga are two potential exercise solutions that concentrate on the abdominal region ultimately helping in Lose Weight with Yoga. They have been associated with changes in blood flow to different regions of the brain and changes in metabolic activities of the brain.
The most important Yoga Benefits is experienced on both mental and physical fronts. The aging process, which is largely an artificial condition, caused mainly by autointoxication or self-poisoning, can be slowed down by yoga. By keeping the body clean, flexible and well lubricated, we can reduce the catabolic process of cell deterioration to a great extent. To get the maximum benefits of yoga one has to combine the practices of yogasanas, pranayama and meditation. Physicians and scientists are discovering brand new health benefits of yoga everyday. Studies show it can relieve the symptoms of several common and potentially life-threatening illnesses such as arthritis, arteriosclerosis, chronic fatigue, diabetes, AIDS, asthma and obesity
Yoga is believed to reduce pain by helping the brain's pain center regulate the gate-controlling mechanism located in the spinal cord and the secretion of natural painkillers in the body. Breathing exercises used in yoga can also reduce pain. Because muscles tend to relax when you exhale, lengthening the time of exhalation can help produce relaxation and reduce tension. Awareness of breathing helps to achieve calmer, slower respiration and aid in relaxation and pain management.
Regular yoga practice can help in weight management. Firstly, some of the asanas stimulate sluggish glands to increase their hormonal secretions. The thyroid gland, especially, has a big effect on our weight because it affects body metabolism. There are several asanas, such as the shoulder stand and the fish posture, which are specific for the thyroid gland. Fat metabolism is also increased, so fat is converted to muscle and energy. This means that, as well as losing fat, you will have better muscle tone and a higher vitality level.

Skin care in winter

Winter is worst season for your skin, particulary for women. Skin faces more threats in this season than other seasons. Tiny precautions make our skin look shining and natural.

Your daily cream applying to your skin should start at least half an hour before you go out for work or elsewhere. If you leave early it freezes on your face or skin because moisturizers attract moisture and and drawn into the skin and instead of protection it will be hard to bear on your face or skin.
Creams in winter are a pure nessecity even if you have an oily type of skin. Neglecting moisturizers will lead to a quick premature ageing of your skin - the negative result will be fast and dramatic, so DO spend some time on your skin and it will definitely respond in gratitude.
Dermatologists recommend one of two cleansing routines for women with combination skin. You can wash with a gentle facial cleanser in the morning and use an alcohol-free astringent on oily areas later in the day. Or wash with a soap-free cleanser on dry areas and with regular bath soap on oily areas. Treat dry patches as dry skin, then apply a water-based or oil-free noncomedogenic moisturizer to your entire face.
No matter how oily, dry or sensitive your skin, always clean gently. Use warm (not hot) water and your fingertips (not a wash cloth). Rinse well. Then use a towel to pat (not rub) your face dry. Wash your face no more than once or twice a day. After patting skin dry, apply moisturizer to skin while it's still damp to ensure that it is absorbed. Unless your moisturizer provides protection from damaging sun rays, consider applying a light sunscreen as well.
In general, and especially during winter months, avoid skin care products containing Alcohol. Not only is Alcohol an irritant, but it is drying, too.
Instead of exfoliating with AHAs, (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) wear a good water-based moisturizer to hydrate your skin and keep it from flaking. AHAs can be a great way to de-flake the skin’s top layer, but they usually tend to dry out your skin. If you plan to use them anyway, don’t overuse them.
Your lips have no natural defense against the elements. Wearing a lip balm with SPF is essential even during winter months. Your lips tend to dry out faster during this time of the year, so make sure to re-apply as necessary. Licking your lips can cause them to dry out faster, too. As the saliva on your lips evaporates, so does your lips’ natural moisture.

KEEP STRESS AWAY FROM YOU

Stress has a great impact on your body, particulary on your face. Your face doesn,t look very impressive when you feel stress. Therefore managing stress is also important to look smart and cheerful.
Many feel that the cause of stress is insomnia, restless work, untimely food and so on... But the cause of stress may sometimes be some routine work we do. They cause stress and tiredness upon us and thus make us feel exhausted which in turn cause illhealth. We must have a look at such things and we have to change our style of living.

  • Talking over the telephone for hours cause stress and pain that one cannot notice. It makes us very exhausted as it cause dehydration, which we can't notice in routine. As a result it causes unknown tiredness, which we must get rid of. If this goes on for a long time the problem of dehydration arises. So, it is very important to have liquids taken at regular intervals, which ultimately keeps our body away from dehydration.

  • Where you stay whether it is office or your house, keep the premises clean and tidy that is very necessary. This precaution keeps us very happy and it also makes free from stress.

  • Though you are late to bed, don't forget wake up early and have a walk or stay in the sunlight for at least 10 to 15 minutes. The sunlight provides us the essential Vitamin'D' that causes our body to relax and sets our muscles free.

  • Take your food on time everday no matter how busy you are.

  • Not only telephone, computer and MP3, we also use oven, rice cooker, mixer and grinder and so many things regularly. The use of these home appliances cause the level of harmones to rise in our body. So, the use of these appliances is be minimised as far as possible.

Keep your home always attractive and pleasentful place which keeps you feel always, thus make you feel not stressed any more.

Adopting a humorous view towards life's situations can take the edge off everyday stressors. Not being too serious or in a constant alert mode helps maintain the equanimity of mind and promote clear thinking. Being able to laugh stress away is the smartest way to ward off its effects.A sense of humor also allows us to perceive and appreciate the incongruities of life and provides moments of delight. The emotions we experience directly affect our immune system. The positive emotions can create neurochemical changes that buffer the immunosuppressive effects of stress.During stress, the adrenal gland releases corticosteroids, which are converted to cortisol in the blood stream. These have an immunosuppressive effect. Dr. Lee Berk and fellow researcher Dr. Stanley Tan at Loma Linda University School of Medicine have produced carefully controlled studies showing that the experience of laughter lowers serum cortisol levels, increases the amount and activity of T lymphocytes—the natural killer cells. Laughter also increases the number of T cells that have suppresser receptors.

YOUR DRESS AND YOUR LOOKS

Choosing the right dress to suit your complexion, your body type and you can impress others the way you select your dress. Select your dress that suits your body and look pretty with your looks. It is a habit for many to have a continuous look at their dress and making adjustments to their dress. It doesn't sounds very attractive to others, so this practice should therefore be avoided.
JEANS
Jeans are trousers made from denim. Mainly designed for work, they became popular among teenagers starting in the 1950s. Historic brands include Levi's and Wrangler. Today, jeans are a very popular form of casual dress around the world and come in many styles and colors, with the blue jeans particularly identified with the American culture, especially the American Old West. Americans spent more than $14 billion on jeans in 2004. In 1895 you could buy jeans for $1.50. Today, some jeans cost $200 to $500 with limited-edition and collectibles costing up to $2000.Youngwomen particularly the college teens prefer jeans today as they are very comfortable and good for looks.
SALWAR KAMEEZ
Salwar kameez is a traditional dress worn by both women and men in Southern Asia. Salvars or shalvars are loose pajama-like trousers. The legs are wide at the top, and narrow at the bottom. The kameez is a long shirt or tunic. The side seams are left open below the waist-line, which gives the wearer greater freedom of movement. It is the most common dress for men in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Now-a-days more and more young women prefer this for various reasons such as comforts , availability various colours and designs when compared to limited availability of colorful jeans.Modern versions of the feminine salwar kameez can be much less modest than traditional versions. The kameez may be cut with a plunging neckline, sewn in diaphanous fabrics, or styled in sleeveless or cap-sleeve designs. The kameez side seams may be split high up to the waistline and, it may be worn with the salwar slung low on the hips. When women wear semi-transparent kameez mostly as a party dress, they wear a choli or a cropped camisole underneath it.
SAREE
The most common style is for the sari to be wrapped around the waist, with the loose end of the drape worn over the shoulder, baring the stomach. However, the sari can be draped in several different styles, though some styles do require a sari of a particular length or form. Saris were further decorated, after weaving, with various sorts of embroidery. Resham work is embroidery done with colored silk thread. Zardozi embroidery uses gold and silver thread and sometimes pearls and precious stones. Cheap modern versions of zardozi use synthetic metallic thread and imitation stones, such as fake pearls and Swarovski crystals.
In modern times, saris are increasingly woven on mechanical looms and made of artificial fibers, such as polyester, nylon, or rayon, which do not require starching or ironing. They are printed by machine, or woven in simple patterns made with floats across the back of the sari. This can create an elaborate appearance on the front, while looking ugly on the back. While an international image of the 'modern style' sari may have been popularised by airline stewardesses, each region in the Indian subcontinent has developed, over the centuries, its own unique sari style.
PANTS
The majority of women around the world today wear pants as opposed to skirts/dresses most of the time. However, there are times when women may prefer to wear a skirt as opposed to a pair of pants, and some women may wear skirts/dresses 100% of the time out of the modern tradition. In most professions, it has been accepted for women to wear slacks. With the popularity of the pant suit and other slacks giving the appearance of business attire, in most professions, it is possible for women to wear pants at all times. Many occupations today also allow casual attire or have uniforms that consist of pants. However, there are women who feel that wearing a skirt ensures one is dressed up and therefore gives a better impression. Most formal attire for women consist of a dress. Though one-piece dresses have historically been the choice, many two-piece dresses, often modeled like suits, are produced now. In recent years, some formal outfits consisting of slacks have been developed, using the suit design for their basis.
While it is still the norm for wedding gowns to be dresses, clothes worn by other women to weddings and other formal occasions sometimes include pants.
Most women who wear business attire to work will wear pants on some days and skirts on others, with style variance in mind. The activities of the day at work and the outdoor temperature may have an impact on their choice for any particular day.

PERFUMES 'N' FRAGNANCES

Choosing right fragnances is the key to improvise and energise your beauty. Excessive use of Fragnances and scents may never cause your beauty improve, it only gives you extra feeling that you are confident and assured. Perfume basically is aromatherapy blends of essential oils and and perfume ingredients.

These perfumes can give different smells due to chemistry of one's body.

Wearing scent is pleasurable; it is an expression of individuality; it attracts mates and makes us nice to be close to. Learn how to identify the different types perfume; you may find you like perfumes from a specific fragrance category.
Discover the best time to apply your perfume fragrance and how to properely apply perfume to make the scent last longer.
When you choose a perfume, you are expressing something about the way you want to see yourself. Learn how to define your fragrance personality.
Searching for a new fragrance? Shopping at the department store perfume counter can tire your nose out. Try bringing serveral perfume sample testers home of your favorite discount and designer fragrance finds before making a final decision.

Evidence in peer-reviewed journals shows that some fragrances can cause asthmatic reactions even when the participants could not actually smell the fragrances. Many fragrance ingredients can cause allergic skin reactions or nausea.
In some cases, an excessive use of perfumes may cause allergic reactions of the skin. For instance, acetophenone, ethyl acetate or potential respiratory allergens. Nevertheless this may be misleading, since the harm presented by many of these chemicals is dependent on environmental conditions and their concentrations in a perfume. For instance, linalool, which is listed as an irritant, causes skin irritation when it degrades to peroxides, however the use of antioxidants in perfumes or reduction in concentrations can prevent this.
Some research on natural aromatics have shown that many contain compounds that cause skin irritation, However some studies, such as IFRA's research claim that opoponax is too dangerous to be used in perfumery, still lack scientific consensus . It is also true that sometimes inhalation alone can cause skin irritation.

Reduce Stress with Aroma therapy

Stress is the main cause of your inactiveness which detracts your beauty. It also causes prematured greying hair, wrinkles, insomnia and all kinds of illness.

If you haven’t already given in to the aromatherapy craze, you may decide to go for it to achieve a little synaptic peace of mind, without the antidepressants (more about antidepressants later). Everything claims to be aromatherapeutic these days: they even invented little chemical plug-ins that are supposed to mask the stinkiness of daily life while promoting restful contemplation. But aromatherapy is based on the science of scent, and permeating your nostrils with a chemical that sort of smells like lavender is not the same as using the real, essential oil.

If you’ve shopped for aromatherapy products before, you’ve probably noticed that most of them are lavender. It’s true that this herb is supposed to have calming and restorative properties, but lavender isn’t the only aromatherapy choice out there, and it’s not for everyone. You can get essential oils for nearly everything, and can experiment with spice, herbs, flowers and woodsy scents to find the things you like best.
Rules of Aromatherapy BlendsThe first rule of aromatherapy is to know yourself. The part of the brain responsible for olfaction (sense of smell) is partly surrounded by the part of the brain that handles long-term memory, and is also part of the limbic system, which handles emotion. The central position of your olfactory sense is why when you smell something you smelled as a child, it will often bring a flood of memories and emotions with it. That’s why scent is a highly individual thing: we all have different associations to the smell of roses, to Old Spice aftershave and to baking bread. All this is to say that the smell of sweet orange oil may make one person feel cheery and another unbearably sad. It all depends.
Aroma researchers have found that in general, men like the smell of vanilla and the smell of lavender. That’s no reason to choose either scents as a perfume, though: men are also crazy about the smell of pizza! Most people love the smell of something sweet baking, and one do-it-yourself aromatherapy is to bake a loaf of bread. Other activities that have an aromatherapeutic element include taking a bubble bath, drinking a fragrant wine, walking through a eucalyptus grove, or hanging out in a cedar sauna.
Some years ago, psychology researchers found that piping the smell of the ocean in to the air significantly helped people feel less depressed. (They weren’t sure if it was going to the beach or just the smell of the beach that worked on depression, so they tried it with just the smell, and it worked).
Aromatherapy Product Information

When you choose aromatherapy products, try to get samples before committing to buy. Go with essential oils over synthetics, but if Aqua Velva reminds you of being a kid, happy and excited to be riding on your Dad’s shoulders, then buy a bottle of aftershave and sprinkle it around the room. Aromatherapy means using what works for you.
If you have allergies or asthma, chemical-based aromatherapy may be fraught with danger. Synthetic scents are derived from chemical compounds, many of which can cause strong allergic reactions such as wheezing, coughing, hives and itching or even nausea and vomiting. Don't fall into the trap of believing that, just because a product claims to be aromatherapy-based, it's automatically good for you.

Many people have allergic reactions to perfectly natural products. I have a friend who is highly allergic to rosemary. His face balloons up, his eyes water and his nose runs if he gets anywhere near the fresh herb. Rosemary is an ancient herb that's been used in shampoos, skin care lotions, perfumes and nearly anything scented, but he can't stand the stuff. If you have allergies, make sure you read the back of any product you're considering before shelling out money for something that may make you sick.
Avoid scents that bring back unhappy memories or that make you feel heavy and sleepy (unless you’re using aroma for insomnia).

EASY AND SIMPLE WAYS TO BE SMART AND SLIM

Here are the most affordable and easy ways to lose weight and be slim. Keep your body away from unnecessary ailments and complications

1. Mix a juice spritzer
Combine your favorite juice (half of your usual amount) with plain or sparkling water. You can cut up to 85 calories per glass -- and lose 5 pounds or more a advertisement year.
2. Pick up the cordless
Burn calories while you talk: Do the laundry (68 calories), set the table (85 calories) or water plants (102 calories). (Values based on a 150-pound person and half an hour of activity.)
3. Pop a piece of gum
Researchers recently discovered that chewing sugar-free gum all day increases your metabolic rate by about 20%. That could burn off more than 10 pounds a year.
4. Pay cash for treats
Anytime someone offers you goodies and you accept, put $1.00 aside. Then give the money to your kids. When you literally pay for treats, you're more likely to say, "No thanks."
5. Study the wrapper
At a quick glance, that candy bar appears to contain 220 calories. But a closer look may reveal that it (or a bottle of juice, bag of crackers or bag of nuts) provides two or more servings -- which more than doubles those calories.
6. Sip green tea before you walk
The caffeine frees fatty acids so that you burn fat more easily. And the polyphenols (antioxidant compounds) in green tea appear to work with caffeine to increase calorie burn. (If you have high blood pressure, skip this tip.)
7. Ditch diet shakes
The calorie savings are only temporary; you just eat more later.
8. Pack a lunch
Dining out more than five times a week may make you eat nearly 300 calories more a day than if you dine out less frequently.
9. Dip your bread
Use olive oil in place of butter; it's healthier and may also help you eat less. In a recent study, dippers ate a total of 52 fewer calories on average than those who used butter.
10. Sprinkle flax on your cereal
High-fiber, ground flaxseed can help curb your appetite and eliminate calories. Add it to yogurt or muffin and bread mixes. Available in health food stores.
11. Dress with this
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1/4 tsp olive oil 3/4 tsp dijon mustard 1/4 tsp horseradish Mix together. It makes for a tasty salad dressing with only 20 calories and 1.5 grams of fat.
12. Schedule a blood test
About 1 in every 12 women (most of whom don't know it) has an under- active thyroid, which can slow down her metabolism.
13. Supersize your H2O
Buy the big bottle when it comes to good-for-you stuff such as water.
14. Trick your tastebuds
Sucking on a menthol/eucalyptus cough drop can stop cravings instantly.
15. Spice up your meals
Adding hot chile pepper (or capsaicin) to food may help you stop eating sooner.
16. Pour a white cocktail
Like water, low-fat milk's volume fills your stomach, but it also contains carbohydrates, so you eat less.
17. Chunk your salad
Chop carrots, celery, sweet potatoes, zucchini or other veggies instead of shredding or slicing. It takes more effort to munch bigger pieces, so you'll do more chewing and eat less during the main course.
18. Call a friend
Fill loneliness with talk -- not cookies.
19. Log your food
Writing down what you eat can help you stay in control because you're more accountable. No need to record it perfectly or review what you wrote: The benefit is in the writing itself.
20. Fidget
You can burn up to 700 calories a day!
21. Retire the remotes
You could easily burn 200 extra calories a day if you stop using the TV/VCR remote, garage door opener, electric can opener, riding mower and other laborsaving devices.
22. Spray -- don't drizzle
Use an olive oil sprayer such as MISTO to add flavor to salads, chicken, fish, or pasta, without all the calories. A 2-second spray evenly distributes about 1/2 teaspoon of oil, compared to the 2 or 3 teaspoons you might get when pouring. That'll save you up to 100 calories per use.
23. Buy small
The bigger the package, the more you're likely to eat -- up to 44% more, according to one study.
24. Break into a jog
If you already jog, speed up to a sprint. These brief intervals allow you to cover more distance and burn more calories -- without lengthening your workout. The increased impact will also help make your bones stronger.
25. Measure before cooking
It's easy to overeat pasta, but not if you cook the right amount at the start. For a perfect portion, keep a quarter near your spaghetti. Its diameter is exactly the size of the 2-ounce stack (about 200 calories) that you should serve per person. Or buy a dry-pasta measurer sold in gourmet cooking stores.
26. Rent a spooky movie
You're less likely to eat when you're fearful, but more likely when you're angry or happy.
27. Reflect on your choices
Looking at yourself in a mirror while you eat may help you consume 22 to 32% less.
28. Drop and do 10
Before you pry open that tub of ice cream, do 10 situps or pushups. Doing something physical can put you back in touch with your body and your goals.
29. Take a whiff
When you really want those fresh-baked cookies, try this: Indulge in the smell for 30 seconds. Then place a small piece on the tip of your tongue for another 30 seconds. Savoring the smell and taste can help you stop at just one cookie.
30. Have chunky soup
People who ate soup containing large vegetable pieces reported feeling fuller and ate 20% less during lunch than those who had a pureed soup made of the same ingredients.
31. Blot the fat
You can dab off about a teaspoon of oil -- or 40 calories and 4.5 grams of fat -- from two slices of pizza.
32. Skip "light" foods
The weight of food -- not just the fat and calories -- is what fills you up. Eat less and still feel satisfied with low-calorie heavyweights such as oranges, strawberries, grapefruit, cantaloupe, cooked spinach, collard greens, and broccoli.
33. Order fish
Varieties rich in omega-3 fatty acids-- tuna, mackerel, cod, and salmon -- may help you drop pounds by improving fat metabolism. Overweight people who ate a reduced-calorie diet that included fish every day lost about 20% more weight than those on a fish-free diet.
34. Post inspiration
To keep yourself on track, place quotes in strategic spots where you might need some motivation: on the fridge, TV, dashboard, or computer. Some suggestions: "You've come too far to take orders from a cookie." "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels."
35. Drink, drink, drink
Dehydration can slow your metabolism by 3%. At a weight of 150 pounds, that would be about 45 fewer calories burned a day -- which could mean 5 extra pounds a year.

Be Active Have your own diet chart

There is some thing women need to know. Their body tunes to the food they choose. If they select food of their choice ie., the food which keeps them slim and shiny, the fitness will always be with them.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are more common in cultures focused on weight loss and body image. Body dissatisfaction and dieting may lead to unhealthy and dangerous eating behaviors. Sometimes, these eating patterns can lead to eating disorders. Fortunately, there has been an increased awareness about these types of illnesses. Eating disorders are treatable. There are resources and specialists that can help!

The causes of eating disorders

There are many different theories regarding the causes of eating disorders. Most likely, eating disorders are caused by a combination of psychological, family, genetic, environmental and social factors.
An individual may have a family history of mood disorders such as depression. Eating disorders are often associated with feelings of helplessness, sadness, anxiety, and the need to be perfect. This can cause a person to use dieting or weight loss to provide a sense of control or stability.
Teens who participate in competitive sports that emphasize thinness or artistic activities, such as ballet, running, gymnastics, or skating, are more likely to develop an eating disorder.
Family stress of any kind can also be a significant factor contributing to the development of these illnesses. Dealing with difficult transitions, loss, or teasing about weight from friends or family may trigger eating disorders.

Staying away from eating disorders

If you think that you may have an eating disorder, it is very important that you talk to your health care provider immediately! If you are too nervous or scared to contact your health care provider on your own, try talking to an adult who is someone you trust like a parent, teacher, relative, or family friend. They can help you to make sure that you receive the help you need. Even if it is scary to get help for an eating disorder, your life may depend on it!

You may need to give your friend some time after you confront her about your concerns. Do not expect that your friend will immediately be able to understand you or accept help right away. Dealing with eating disorders can be challenging and may take a long time. Being honest and patient with your friend will make it easier for you to support her. But most importantly, remember to tell an adult such as a parent or teacher if you are worried about a friend.

A therapist can fix problems with your eating disorders

The goal for a young woman with an eating disorder is to improve her body image, and self-esteem, and address other emotional issues. If you have an eating disorder, you may discover that you have other problems in your life such as depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, or substance abuse. You may explore feelings of sadness, anxiety, or anger with your therapist. Therapy provides the time and space where you can confidentially discuss your needs, your goals, and your understanding of the eating problem. Therapy helps to explore eating disordered thinking and behaviors and develop specific strategies to become healthy. Parents often need a therapist or a group for support and education surrounding eating problems.

Meditation helps to roll back from eating disorders

Often medications are prescribed as part of the treatment for an eating disorder. Depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder commonly exist as part of this illness. A doctor will prescribe and monitor the medicine

  • Having a positive self-image, eating a healthy diet, and exercising for fitness and enjoyment will help you to maintain a healthy balance in your life and decrease your risk of developing an eating disorder. The following tips are good ways to stay healthy, build a good body image, and to feel better about who you are.
Identify and respect everything about yourself- the inside and the outside.
Be yourself, don't try to look like models in magazines.
Try not to think or talk about weight, calories, and food.
Try to make eating a positive experience: eating fuels both your body and mind!
Don't diet! Try to eat healthy foods.
Work on ways to cope with negative feelings, such as talking to friends or family, listening to music, or doing crafts. Practicing healthy ways to deal with stress may help you avoid using food to deal with emotions.
    Advanced Treatment for Eating Disorders

Many researchers are working to figure out how to treat eating disorders. New therapies and medications to prevent osteoporosis, the mood disorders, and hormonal problems associated with eating disorders are being studied. The development of new school curricula promoting awareness around eating disorders as well as healthy attitudes about body image and food is aimed at the prevention of eating disorders. In addition, there is a national effort to offer screening to adolescents and young adults for eating disorders in community health centers and schools so they can get help early. Many health professionals and researchers are striving to prevent eating disorders and to find new treatments.

KEEP YOURSELF FIT AND KEEP DOING EXERCISES

Many of our women especially the house-wives are addicted to watching Television. Many more depend on machines to do thier domestic work which results in many health problems especially the obesity. They donot think of doing some sort of exercises to keep their body away from diseases.

Our society is faced with an epidemic of obesity, and people need to become more in tune with their own health and fitness.
We all know that exercise is essential to living a healthy lifestyle. It's the best way to lose body fat, because exercise boosts the metabolism and encourages the body to burn excess calories. Physical exercise revs up your heart and gets your lungs pumping at their maximum capacity. You'll have healthier bones when you exercise, and you'll look good and feel great about yourself. Exercise gives you increased stamina, making it easier for you to keep up with life's busy pace.
The unfortunate reality is that, although nearly everyone is aware of the many benefits of fitness, many women ignore the facts and choose to do nothing. It's too easy to press the snooze button, take the elevator or drive to work. In our society of convenience, people are suffering with a lack of health and fitness.
The following tips can be helpful in reaching and maintaining your ideal body weight. The specific issues that women face, like a higher susceptibility to osteoporosis make health and fitness of particular interest to them. To maintain optimum health and keep your body strong, it is recommended that at least two of these tips be incorporated into all women's health and fitness rout

You don't have to be Superwoman.
Don't fret if you feel as though you're not doing enough. Women often have the innate feeling that they're letting someone down. Don't worry if you're not able to spend ten hours a week at the gym or go for a run every morning. All that really matters is that you can commit to improving your health and fitness, and stick to a program. Professionals advise working out three to five times a week in 20-60 minute sessions, but our busy schedules don't always allow this. You can easily become frustrated if you can't meet someone else's ideal. Working out twice a week at twenty minutes per session will put you on the right track.

Focus on your successes.
Concentrate on how good you feel about your new health and fitness regime. If weight loss is part of your plan, and you're struggling to meet your goal, don't beat yourself up about it. Focus on what you've done to this point, and use today as a new starting point. You've made a commitment to yourself, and that is your biggest success.

Put weights before cardio.
Many women begin their health and fitness routines with cardio exercises, and then follow it up with weight lifting. The disadvantage is that you may be missing out on a critical component of the routine, because you're spending all of your time with cardio. If this is a regular occurrence, the outcome can be disappointing despite countless hours at the gym. Reverse the order and perform weight training first. You'll likely see a more positive visible outcome.

Keep an eye on your heart rate.
Women should work out at 75-85% of their maximum heart rate. When your heart rate is too low, it's a sign that you're not working to your full potential. Too high a rate, on the other hand, shows that you're pushing yourself to a potentially dangerous level. Sticking with a happy medium of 50% or so will not help you to realize your fitness goals. Keep a heart rate monitor on hand or do a manual count incrementally during your workout to ensure that you're reachWomen's health and fitness has become a bigger issue than ever before. Fast food and sedentary lifestyles are robbing women of their good health and stripping them of their self-esteem.
It's up to you to make the change to a healthier lifestyle. Go at your own pace, and you'll be amazed at how far you can go.
ing, but not exceeding, your ideal target heart rate.

KEEP YOURSELF FIT , CHEERFUL AND SMILING

Keep your self away from worries and keep yourself always cheerful and smiling.

Leave your mental tension behind and start thinking about your future.

You may not look pretty, still you can impress others by your gestures, attitudes and well managed behaviour.

Way to happiness and spiritual well being

It's more important to be happy than to be right

You can either be happy or unhappy. Choose happy.

If you feel unhappy about your wealth, it should not be the real cause of your worries. If you feel you have god charecteristics, you still consider yourself as a wealthy and rich man.

Compliment three people everyday.
Watch a sunrise.
Be the first to say "Hello."
Don’t waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them.
Treat everyone as you want to be treated.
Never give up on anybody; miracles happen.
Forget the Jones’s.
Remember someone’s name.
Pray not for things, but for wisdom and courage.
Be tough-minded, but tender hearted.
Be kinder than you have to be.
Don’t forget that a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.
Keep your promises.
Learn to show cheerfulness even when you don’t feel it.
Remember that overnight success usually takes 15 years.
Leave everything better than you found it.
Remember that winners do what losers don’t want to do.
When you arrive at your job in the morning, let the first thing you say brighten everyone’s day.
Don’t rain on other people’s parades.
Live beneath your means.
Keep some things to yourself and don’t promote havoc by backstabbing people you love.
Stop Rushing Past Life.

Whatever it is, if you really want to eat it, eat it!
Never piss off anyone who has access to you when you are asleep.
Never argue with a pregnant woman.

Keep a smiling face always. A smile gives you nothing but happiness.

Pretty Nails: Sizes, Shapes, and Colors

Much like fingerprints, nail shapes and sizes are also unique to the individual. You may find similarities between your nails and those of a parent or sibling, but fingernails come in many shapes and sizes.
If you?ve ever looked at a friend?s manicure, you may notice that hers does not look identical to yours. Why is that? Well, for starters, your nail bed may be longer or shorter, wider or narrower than your friend?s nail bed. The nail bed is the part of your skin where the actual nail rests. Your nail bed may also differ from your mother?s, your sister?s, your cousin?s, as well as from complete strangers. This is because nail beds come in different shapes suited to the anatomy of the individual.
?The wider and shorter the nail bed is, the less attractive dark colors will look,? says Carolyn Cianciotto, the owner of Carolyn New York Nail Care Line. Her recommendations to determine the best shape when filing your nails, or fNail Bed Shape - Best Nail Shape
Short and wide nail bed - Square nails with rounded edges
Long and big nail bed - Square nails with a rounded edge
Narrow and long oval nail bed - Square nails with a sharp edge
Oval nail bed - Lucky you! or when you apply false tips, are as follows

When the nail are crooked and have different shapes, a square nail shape is best
Did you know that different skin tones reflect the same nail polish shades differently? In other words, certain nail polish colors may look better on you, or your friend, depending on the tone of your skin. If you don?t already know the tone of your skin, you can find out by simply consulting a beautician or your own stylist.
?If a person has red tone to her complexion, reds don't always look good, but if you must, make sure it is blue-red, not an orange-red,? Carolyn Cianciotto explains. ?If one has yellow tones, beige will look yellow. Pinks are nice for people with a lot of yellow in their skin.?
?If one has brown tones, she can wear almost anything, but most of the sheers will look whiter and brighter, so be careful if that's not the look you are shooting for,? she adds.
?Get to the salon 15 minutes early so you can try a couple colors on and decide what you like best,? Cianciotto advises.

Do you know that your fingernails and toenails can indicate potential problems in other parts of your body? Healthy nails should typically sport a pink hue, but sometimes they may change in tone and texture, signifying a deficiency in certain vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
If you keep your nails healthy and strong, you should notice changes in the composition and color of your nails. Keeping your nails healthy holds a twofold benefit ? gorgeous fingertips and tootsies and a helpful clue to learn if anything might be wrong elsewhere in your body. And while we don?t necessarily think of nails as gauges of our health in most cases, we sure do love getting dolled up and showing them off!
To begin your quest for healthy nails, first make a commitment to eating healthier foods. You can still enjoy the foods you love, but you should make a conscious effort to consume healthy fruits and vegetables, nuts, fish and eggs, among other nail-friendly foods.
Enjoy these great foods for healthy nails:
Apples
Asparagus
Brown rice
Cucumbers
Eggs
Garlic
Grapes
Liver
Nuts
Onions
Salmon
Seeds
Soy
Tuna
Whole grains
If you want healthy, strong and beautiful nails that last, don?t stop with diet. Make some minor changes in your life and you can enjoy lovely nails without the price tag that comes with a trip to the nail salon. Avoid biting your nails, buff away rough edges when necessary and make a few other small changes to achieve the perfect nails you?ve always wanted.
For great nails, follow these simple tips:
Consume foods containing calcium and zinc. Calcium effectively promotes nail growth. (You know those little white spots that show up on your nails in funny places sometimes? Those spots mean you aren?t getting enough zinc in your diet.)
Consume less sugar and less alcohol.
Do not use your nails as tools. No picking, plucking, poking, prying?
Don?t bite your nails. Try applying nail polish or painting a bitter-tasting liquid to the nails. Such products have been specially designed to help people quit their nail-biting habits.
Don?t remove hangnails by pulling at them. Gently clip them with manicure scissors to prevent damage to your skin and tissue.
Eat fewer saturated fats.
Ensure that you consume enough protein.
Increase your intake of Vitamins A, B, C, D and E.
Keep your nails short to prevent breakage.
Leave your cuticles alone.
Moisturize your nails often. When you apply lotion to your hands, legs or other areas, be sure to rub a little bit into your nails.
Reduce the amount of dairy in your diet.
Trim nails regularly, as needed. Use an emery board or nail file to smooth rough edges after trimming and when a nail breaks.
If you want to have beautiful healthy nails, it may not cost you a trip to the salon. Commit to a healthier diet, better habits and pick up some pretty nail polish for an at-home manicure. With a little time, discipline and dedication, you can enjoy healthy, strong and shiny nails with little effort.

MAKE UP AND YOUR AGE

There are three general reasons why we women wear makeup. The first reason is to protect our skin from harmful ultraviolet rays that cause skin damage and aging. Most makeup products nowadays have SPF which shields the skin from ultraviolet exposure.
The second reason why we women wear makeup is to hide whatever blemishes we have on our face. It could be wrinkles, puffy eyelids, pimples, dark spots, an unsightly mole or birthmark, or whatever it is that we need to hide. Makeup conceals and takes the eyes away from these problem areas by putting highlights on the other, more presentable features of our face.
The third reason why women wear makeup is to enhance the best features of the face. Beautiful eyes deserve to be made more beautiful with a few tricks with the mascara and eye shadow. Naturally pouting lips should be made to look more luscious and kissable.
But whatever reason we may have for wearing makeup, the most important thing to remember is that we should keep our makeup as naturally looking as possible and that we should wear makeup that suits our age.
The following is a general guide on what kind of makeup should a woman wear according to her age.
Teenagers (15-19). If you are in your teenage years, your greatest asset is your youth, so you should wear makeup that plays up your youth instead of hiding it. You are also at that point in your life where your hormones are still trying to get their groove going, so the cosmetic products you are using should not be a cause for acne breakouts.
Given these, your foundation should be sheer, oil-free and water-based. Opt for a natural look by using natural looking eye shadows, and go easy on the mascara. For your blush on, try a gel blush to get that natural glow on your face; however, use a powder blush if your skin is oily. Keep your lipstick or lip gloss lightly tinted.
Twenties (20-29). You are in the bloom of your womanhood, and so your makeup should reflect that. So, go light on the foundation and match the colors you use for your eyes with the natural color of your eyes, your skin tone, as well as the mood you are in. Tone down your makeup when going to work by wearing a light powder blush and a lightly tinted lipstick. For affairs in the evening, like a date, a party or a night out with friends, you can use brighter colors.
Thirties. This is when the initial, telltale signs of aging like crows’ feet and fine lines begin to appear. Therefore, you should start toning the palette of your makeup down. It is also time to go a little on the heavy side with your foundation, but wear your blushers in more muted colors. Avoid wearing frosted makeup to keep the attention away from the small wrinkles and fine lines.
Forties (40-49). The signs of aging become more apparent at this age. You should, therefore, start wearing makeup that is kind to your skin. Begin using an oil-based foundation if your skin is dry and put a light base over the wrinkles of your face, in case you have any. Start using concealer creams more generously over the dark spots and dark circles, and steer clear from frosted or metallic eye shadow, especially if you have puffy eyes. Use softer colors for your cheeks.
Fifties and above (50+). This is the time you should start letting yourself age gracefully. Therefore, be kind to your face and avoid the kinds of makeup that are matte-based. Never opt for frosty, shiny or metallic colors for your eyes because it will only highlight the puffiness and the wrinkles. Keep your lipstick colors light and never even attempt to wear blue or red
colors.
